In 1995,
a second ladle furnace and an automatic
ferroalloy loading system were installed
alongside the existing plant.
At the beginning of 2002,
a new electric arc furnace with a variable
capacity of between 30 and 50 tons replaced
the existing unit and, shortly thereafter,
was complemented by a second, more modern
vacuum-degassing system.
The growing demand for more sophisticated
and high alloy steels led to an increase
in the number and technology of the heat-treatment
furnaces (both annealing and controlled
cooling).
A third ladle furnace with vacuum-degassing
system was installed in 2007.
In 2007 a VAR (Vacuum
Arc Remelting) plant was installed as
well.
Our intention to focus more and more on
alloy steels, brought us to set up our
induction furnace on September 2008.
